I didn't think Rhetoric of the Image could be beaten but Torpor have used it as a base to push everything further on Abscission. Stunning mixes of doom, sludge, post-metal and drone combine to make a record that only has one flaw - it finishes.
I fucking love Torpor and this is an incredible achievement.

Seeing Portrayal of Guilt 11/14 front row absolutely destroy a small club in Baltimore on the Christfucker tour brings new meaning to the concept of tortured emotional dissonance. My head is still spinning of how scary talented these three individuals are. Completely awe-inspiring. bcb723
