lyrics
I searched the darkness
But our eyes wouldn’t meet
We drank deep from emptiness
And both ceased to be
What was left in there
When everything else disappeared
The waning glow of the streetlamp
Reminds me of that light disappearing
But here we are breathing
The warmth of our breath
Fills the empty space between
There’s a quiet I can hear
As I wonder
How long we’ve spent here
Was the air always this cold?
Were the nights always this long?

This one really goes deep. Tremendously heavy and bleak, yet crushingly groovy as well. You can easily see these guys destroying any venue they'd hit live with this. The heavy hitting slow to mid-tempo tunes are sort of tranceinducing. It's very easy to listen to it multiple times in a row or even get lost in it totally. mourner

This album hits like a ton of bricks. I can't say how long it's been since a band reached me like this, but I can't get enough. The driving rhythm, the ghostly floating leads, the haunting and direct lyrics, the desperation in her voice... Powerful. Jaycee

I've finally got Black Line on physical copy and this record actually blew my mind. There's so much beauty to this album but also its so crushingly heavy and extreme in an audio sense, Respire don't hold back they just let everything go and beyond, amazing!! Darknight
